Trade missions take many forms - from small tours aimed at introducing companies to government and business counterparts, to detailed and highly product-oriented demonstration trips.

Many exporters rely on trade missions as a way to meet potential representatives or distributors who will help them expand into new markets.

INDIAN WATER MISSION - 29 May - 5 June 2010

Overview

With the Indian economy continuing to boom, Water Management and Environment issues is gaining in prominence.

Many Indian corporations are developing environmentally friendly processes, whilst Indian government bodies are leading the push for effective management of water resources across the sub-continent.

This mission is for companies wanting to look at gaining intelligence on the Indian Water industry ,as well as possibly expending their presence into India. the Water Industry Alliance will be on this mission to represent the Water industry in South Australia

Companies will be introduced you to rural and urban water opportunities In India through meetings with:

  • major water funding bodies
  • government water organisations
  • water project directors
  • private water companies
  • potential investors and JV partners
  • Australian water companies already established in India
  • the National Water Institute
  • World Bank, and many more.

SHANGHAI WORLD EXPO 2010 - 1 May – 31 October 2010

Overview

The Shanghai World Expo 2010 is the largest to date, with political and economic significance to Shanghai and China as a whole.

More than 220 countries and organisations will be participating at the Expo, and 70 million visitors are expected over six months.

The Expo theme – “Better City, Better Life” – provides an ideal starting point to showcase South Australian innovation, creativity and achievement in a wide range of sectors, including arts and tourism.

The event is an unprecedented opportunity for South Australia to strengthen its bilateral links and nurture new areas of co-operation and exchange with China.

The Expo provides an opportunity to raise South Australia’s profile, showcase South Australian capability and support the State’s commercial interests in the China market. 

Australia will have a striking national pavilion, augmented by targeted trade and investment promotion activities and associated cultural and communications programs.

CommunicAsia 2010 15-18 June Singapore

Overview

DTED in partnership with Innovate SA is once again leading a mission to Singapore to participate in CommunicaAsia 2010.

Austrade has identified CommunicAsia as the priority one export event for the Australian ICT industry. CommunicAsia 2010 is the ideal launching pad for expanding a presence in the South East Asian market. Now in it's 21st year, the exhibition will focus on cutting-edge technologies and commercial implications, as well as fast-growing  technological sectors. Products being showcased ranges from the latest technologies in applications, solutions to hardware.

CommunicAsia 2010 provides companies an opportunity to reach the business market in Asia and connect with suppliers, partners and visiting business and government delegation from the Asian region
