Growing Global Companies - Export Program

DTED helps South Australian ICT, electronics and creative industry companies prepare for and participate in international trade shows and export market programs in collaboration with ICT industry associations and Austrade.

In line with the national ICT marketing strategy, the program focuses on building trade relationships in the Asia-Pacific region with countries such as the US, China, Hong Kong, India and SE Asia.

TechFast program

TechFast, a national commercialisation program partnered with the Australian Institute for Commercialisation (AIC), encourages established and technology-receptive small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) to adopt commercially viable technologies and know-how from Australian research organisations.

In South Australia, this program provides assistance and risk minimisation associated with the transfer and commercialisation of new technology by:

• identifying established, technology-receptive SMEs that have a track record in their sector and are ready to grow;

• linking these SMEs with relevant innovative technologies or know-how developed by research organizations;

• providing ‘hands-on’ advice, funding and support to facilitate the transfer of technology between research organisations and SMEs to benefit all parties;

Potential SME candidates are assessed and selected according to specific criteria.

In the long-term, TechFast will improve the scale and speed at which SMEs are able to successfully expand and grow through the accelerated take-up of leading edge technologies.

The program will also assist research organisations in their final stages of research and development.
